The Coop Controls CKSPXP Solar Automatic Coop Door Opener Kit is the complete solar kit to open swinging coop doors that are 16-30 inches wide.

ONE 2×4 piece of wood is required and not included. This 2×4 is used during installation of the operator arm and requires fasteners (not included) to be installed.

A 12-Volt 7 Amp Hour Battery is required and not included.

We purchased a complete Ghost Controls system and we love it! If you have two remote controls, you will need to sync them to each other before setting up the keypad. I contacted tech support and was assisted by Rick. He was fantastic! Rick walked me through every step of syncing the remotes and setting up the gate keypad. 5 Star service!

I recently purchased a ghost control unit TSS1 for my entry to my home. I also got the key pad, an extra remote and the bar that's buried by my driveway to automatically open my gate upon leaving. I bought the system from a local dealer where I live. The installation was easy for the most part until I tried to connect the wiring harness to the batteries. The connection on the batteries was larger that the wiring harness fittings. I went to local dealer where purchased who in turn contacted Ghost Controls and they acknowledged an issue. They immediately overnighted to the dealer adapters for the batteries which immediately corrected the problem. I had some difficulty marrying the remotes together and to the keypad. I contacted Ghost Controls and Mr. Tom Richmond answered the phone. He immediately told me how to properly fix this problem not only by giving me explicit directions, he emailed videos to me to show me. Very simple procedure and now my system is up and running perfectly. I have had three gate opener products from another company and was not satisfied. I am very satisfied with Ghost Controls and would recommend it everyone. Thank you Ghost Controls for your superior easy to install product and thank you Tom Richmond for your expert advice.

My previous gate opener would open whenever a tractor or truck would go into reverse and activate the warning horn...it was frustrating. Also very poor customer support. The typical response was..."It's too expensive to repair that component..buy a new one."My Ghost control opener was very easy to install. Took up 1/4 of the space of the old one. Works perfectly...no complaints. No "false openings". Excellent service, shipping, and product. PS. I do not own any stock in this company and I don't work there.But I do like their gate openers!!

Edit: Can’t say enough about how good these openers work. Absolutely flawless since install. Very happy customer. Recently purchased and installed a set of dual openers to replace a set of Mighty Mule openers that were less than 6 months old.The Ghost brand were super easy to install and incredibly easy to program. Unlike the Mighty mule brand that were near impossible to program. Also the other brand would malfunction daily several times. I've only had the Ghost controls for a week now but so far no malfunctions. I am very impressed.

This product has so far exceeded my expectations! This was my first automatic gate install and was very impressed at how easy it was. Directions included were easy to read and if you follow the steps provided and do not get ahead... your gate will operate flawlessly. Electronics are ALL plug-and-play! If you can screw in a light bulb... you are good-to-go!More importantly the service so far has been spot on. I love the on-line chat feature and have had nothing but quick positive responses on every chat. I would highly recommend this product and company to anyone looking for a high-quality gate control!

If I could give more stars I would. The gate openers themselves are awesome but the customer service is even better. I have had a couple minor issues with my gate opener in the past year and a half and each issue was resolved quickly. Had a great experience with the website but wanted some direct customer support to ensure I was ordering the right system for me. Marlee with Ghost answered my messenger note promptly and once we got on the phone, she not only answered some questions I had, but was able to make recommendations for my application the helped me simplify my set up. I did a lot of research for an automated gate setup for our house. I know friends that have ghost controls competitors stuff and they all had issues with them. After lots of research and speaking with Marlee (who is absolutely amazing employee/asset to ghost controls) i pulled the trigger with a dual gate setup with key pad, key pad stand off, dual battery box, 30watt solar panel, zombie lock, 100ft vehicle sensor. It arrived the day after i placed the order. Packaging was awesome and neat. Installing the system by myself, digging the ditches by hand and setting everything up i might have 4 hours in the install. I absolutely love this thing. It works flawlessly and was a breeze to dial in. Highly recommend ghost controls for not only their product but their amazing customer service.

I needed an automatic opener for one 16 foot gate and after a great deal if research I went with the Ghost Controls. A great decision on my part as the system is easy to set up and of great quality. Install of the gate was easy and straightforward. Gate worked perfectly from the start. I ran into some issues with solar charging of the batteries over this winter in WA. Was an amazing product for 350 days, then on day 351 the gate would not open. The fuse appears to have caught fire as opposed to popping or blowing. We have reach out to Ghost and where greeted with an answering service asking us to leave a message. I’m hoping they respond soon so I can test their warranty and identify the cause of this failure that could have started a fire. I will revise my post once we here back form customer support.Same day update, wow thank you Rick for reaching out me so quickly, customer service is truly 5 stars. I'm was also impressed at how serous you and your engineers are taking this and not simply just send out replacement parts. You are actually are kicking off and RCA on the same day I made this post. So props and hats off to you. I look forward to hearing back from you and having a better understanding of what caused this issue. Recently ordered a gate opener kit along with solar panel, two batteries, two key pads. All shipped promptly. Installed on 16' tube gate. Easy install, just follow directions. I come from a background of electrical maintenance and construction in heavy industry. The Ghost Controls system in my opinion is well engineered and thought-out to be easy for virtually anyone to install.Only had the system installed now for a week, so far it works fantastic. + A few weeks after the original installation of gate opener and satisfied its a great product, I invested in & added the Zombie Lock. Another 5 stars, zombie lock works perfectly. After bolting it on and connecting, just required a very small adjustment to the fully closed position of the gate control. All super easy.Wow, cant say enough good things about this whole system.

I realized that my second arm wire was a bit too short for upper placement of my control box. I've had my 2 gate opener installed for over a week now and it's worked flawlessly. My wife was so excited she had to drive through it a few times just after installation. It's exciting that we won't be getting out in the rain or dark or touch a frost covered gate to gain access to our property any longer!The installation took two days because I had to level one of my gates and bury the 2nd gate's control/power cable in compacted ground that had not been broken in decades. The cable for the solar panel was about 2 feet short of what I needed, so I cut the mounting pole down a bit.Overall the gate has performed perfectly. The instructions were very good and included tips for installing the openers on round posts. The stop limits and the auto-close are great features and work just as described in the documentation. The model I purchased came with 2 "regular" remotes. To use features like Party Mode, you'll need the premium remote. It's only $3 more than the regular remote on Amazon, so spring for it you're going to be purchasing extra remotes. It'll be handy to have when you need it. I contacted customer service and confirmed that the premium remote was needed. Very friendly and supportive customer service!I like this gate so much better than my neighbor's Mighty Mule opener. I recommend this gate without reservation!

We are so happy with the Ghost Controls gate opener! In the past, we had purchased a Mighty Mule gate opener. It failed before the 1 year warranty expired. When we were trying to figure out why it quit working, we discovered it was filled with rust colored water. The arm was installed correctly (not upside down) and I called the company to let them know that they some sort of design flaw that allowed rainwater in. I think already knew it because they didn't have any questions/comments. Afterwards, I googled complaints about water regarding the Mighty Mule and saw there were others that complained about the water intrusion as well. So, after researching the different companies, we decided on Ghost Controls. It works great! We've had it over a year and haven't any problems whatsoever. In addition, the price was very reasonable and affordable. We are very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

Love the gate opener and the customer service is amazing. I had an old gate opener and trying to get technical help for that one, when it broke, was impossible. After reading reviews, I decided to change the opener to Ghost Controls and I am glad I did. I have now had the opener for a year. I appreciate their fast response to any questions I have and they know exactly what to tell me to make it run, should I have any issues, like when the battery was not getting enough sun to keep the battery charged. (I forgot to adjust the solar panel for the season). They should teach others what customer service should be, because they are the best!

We called to inquire if we could order a replacement for the damaged arm and the service we received was beyond outstanding. We have been using a Ghost System at one of our school entrances which is used numerous times daily and this system has preformed very nicely. Hi I bought a Ghost Controls system about two years ago and it has performed perfectly until someone run into the gate. I called the company and told them what the problem was, I had to do a couple tests, they said the controller was bad and sent me a new one. I live in northeast Montana and we have some of the nastiest weather in the nation with temperatures as low as -40 in the winters and this system had no problem with the temperature. The wind is the only thing I have an issue with, 20+ mph will sometimes cause the gate to think it hit something and reopen. The service is outstanding and the warranty is exceptional.I have told everyone how well this system works and will definitely buy again. Roy E Hughes

I bought the double gate opener, keyless entry pad, and the magnetic gadget for the driveway to open the gate to let vehicles out of the property. I've only had this a short time but it looks to be VERY well made and is up and running with minimal effort. The installation went easy thanks to a very good instruction booklet. I'm very happy with it. The only disappointment was that my very OLD Stanley garage door opener (from approx 1994) could not be recognized by the system and so we could not use the numerous remotes that we already have for the house.

We have a Dual tube Solar powered opener system. The system works fantastically in all weather, and we have not had any issues with battery life. The control arms held up extremely well with no issues.We have had issues with animals eating the wires do to lack of protection, and hurricane-force winds twisting the bracket that attaches the control arm to the gate. Ghost Controls provided excellent support, diagnosing what parts we require to fix the problems, and providing the parts themselves free of charge with free shipping to boot!

Wow just got done installing my DTP1 single gate opener by Ghost and what a huge difference between Ghost and Mighty Mule. No comparison at all. I have had three Mighty Mule units in the past three years, then I heard about Ghost and after checking them out inside out they are wonderful to work with. Please people if you are thinking of a good gate opener, you have to look at Ghost and take it from me they are so much easier to install then Mighty Mule and the quality is so much better. Don 't waist your time or money even though the Mighty Mule is cheaper in the long run it won't be because they are junk. I'm sorry I usually don't talk that way about companies but, this shocks me that this Ghost unit is so much better then the rest. Give one a try you will love them and there warranty and company service.

We just switched out our mighty mule for ghost controls dual automatic gate opener and zombie lock. It was super easy diy. Our gate now opens faster and has more security options. We have two Ghost remote systems, purchased to replace one failed 4-year old Mighty Mule system (a constant source of problems) and another 20-year old system. We have waited to post a review to see if these systems lived up to the reviews we found in our online research. We are happy to report that this system has far exceeded our experience with the previously installed Mighty Mule system and is an excellent choice for residential remote controlled gates. We did have assistance from someone who is more technical than we are for the wiring, as we wanted to make sure they were properly set up. The only issue we have had was that the gates somehow lost the closing set point after a few months - not sure what caused the problem but technical support had the problem resolved quickly. We were very impressed with the fact that we called tech support after hours, didn’t leave a message, but still received a return call the next day asking how they could help. The technician was professional and patient with me as he walked me through the troubleshooting with both gates, and at no time did I feel that he was in a hurry to get to the next customer. Additionally, the same tech called me back a few days later to make sure that the problem was resolved. It’s rare these days to receive that level of customer service and gives us great assurance that any further issues will be handled in the same manner. We have recommended this system to many friends and will continue to do so.*The above review was posted on Amazon. Since posting, we had an issue with a couple of our cows getting into a scuffle and breaking the black plastic housing on the gate arm, so I called tech support to determine the best course of repair. We were pleasantly surprised with the offer to send us another housing at no cost, we simply have to return the damaged housing. I would like to add that even with the cattle breaking the plastic cover and bending the gate, the arm itself still works correctly. We continue to be extremely pleased with our Ghost gate opening systems and the excellent customer service provided by tech support.

I called the company and ordered directly from them. I first spoke to a tech person about some specific questions, then was transferred to a sales person to place my order. Both were very helpful. I ordered the double gate opener for my livestock-type double gate entrance to my drive, solar panel, wireless keypad & pedestal, Zombie gate lock, automatic exit sensor, and a couple extra brackets. I also ordered a couple of of the small controllers for our chicken coop, but I haven't installed those yet. I installed the gate controller about a month ago, I just put up the wireless keypad yesterday. I live in northern Wyoming so I opted to get my own large deep cycle 12 volt battery. Installation was straightforward, instructions were good. The gate has worked perfectly. The guys were super helpful when I ordered, and like I said the instructions were good, so I had no need to call for any help. The solar charging system seems to be working well. The remotes work well. From inside the vehicle the glass inhibits transmission but it is still effective from a very reasonable distance. My gate is about 1/4 mile from my house, and I can stand on my front porch with line of sight to the gate and the remote will open/close the gate from there, which is pretty impressive. I haven't gotten around to installing the Zombie Lock or the auto-exit elements yet, nor the chicken coop controllers, but hope to get those knocked out soon. My gate has been running flawlessly for a month+ now. I definitely recommend.

After a lot of research and so testing we used this gate control. It is by far the best on out there. On top of that they have amazing customer service and support. Now that I have one from the drive way I am going to get one of their coop openers as well!

I bought my Ghost Gate Openers in April 2017. Very EZ install and the manual was written very well. Clear instructions and enough hardware for practically any install.I'm in my 70's and I installed this opener in one day. A younger person could probably install it in a couple hours. The hardest part in my driveway was cutting a ditch (then filling) across the concrete to install the conduit for the wiring for the far gate. The critical part is making sure that everything is square and level. Electrical hook-up is simple and instructions are clear.I give it 5-stars for now because it's only been in for 2-weeks. I will post if anything changes.*****Update March 2019*****Gate opener is still operating flawlessly. We use this gate a lot. We have had zero issues. Thank you Ghost Controls. I just wish that the remotes weren't so darn expensive.

I first bough the DEP2 dual gate opener in February 2017 and have had the most incredible experience with the product and the customer service, particularly with Jonathan in the technical support department. Not a fault of Ghost Controls but more in "mistakes" that I have made in installing the product or using the gate, I have had to call the customer service department three different times.Most recently, one of the two arms quit working. I called and spoke to Jonathan who was amazingly able to correctly diagnose the problem over the phone quickly. He warrantied the arm and sent a replacement free of charge. The problem was probably in the way that I originally installed the arm and I insisted that they did not "owe" me a replacement arm. Jonathan insisted that they wanted to make it right and went ahead and sent the replacement.I can't think of many companies that would be willing to go the extra mile like Ghost Controls. If you are in the market for a gate (or even if you're not!) I can't recommend them enough. You will receive excellent support for the life of the product!

We purchased one of the dual gate openers for our new fence. It is nothing short of AWESOME!!! Had to contact customer service about one question we had, and they were just so nice -- which is an oddity in itself these days. The gate has so many different settings you can tailor to your needs. My husband installed it all by himself (good hubby!). Highly recommend.To make the gate even more functional for us we already had a camera doorbell, but then we added a camera security light so that we can know exactly who is at our gate and can communicate with them.

They have their customer service down! I’ve had my gate opener since summer of 2018 and have not had an issue until the other day. The control arm stopped working and moves open and closed freely by hand. Called customer support and they didn’t question anything. Verified my info and sent me a brand new one. Lifetime warranty for the motors, can’t beat that.

If you are looking for a great product that the company will stand behind, you will not one better than GHOST CONTROLS. I purchased two gate systems in September 2017. They are installed on 16 ft metal gates and work great, never had an issue with the electronics or mechanical other then people trying to open the gate manually and have found tech support to be very helpful and a pleasure to work with. You will not be disappointed!!

My husband and I were quite skeptical about purchasing an automatic gate opener from the get go. So many different manufactures to choose from and we kept seeing the same thing...poor customer service & faulty product and quite frankly I didn’t wanna pay that much for the headache I was going to endure.I finally found Ghost Controls and read very positive and encouraging reviews so instead of going to distribution I decided to go direct. Since I work with manufactures on a daily basis I have found that sometimes that could be the best direction to take. It was an easy website to maneuver and they take PayPal so it was a win-win situation.The product came sooner than expected and was packaged correctly to prevent damage. the best part... the batteries and 5 button transmitters came fully charged what a bonus! My husband installed it the following day and it didn’t take long to get it up and running.We also decided to get the zombie lock and again I placed the order online. well I forgot that we needed the brackets for the tube gates that are needed for proper installation so I called up customer service and left a message explaining my dilemma and a short time later I received an email from a sales associate named Danny.I gave Danny a call and he advised that he received my message and then proceeded to run over to shipping grab the box that was on the dock ready for pick up and open it up and threw the hardware in there at no charge Merry Christmas he says to me.Needless to say I am totally impressed with my experience and the integrity of this company. Just placed the order, but had a great experience to share. I got a promo email offering a 15% Black Friday discount on orders through 11/26. However these tired eyes read the font as 11/28, so when I ordered the discount had already expired. I put a note at the bottom of the order explaining the situation, but didn't expect much. Ghost controls products are exactly as advertised. Functional, ease of installation, adaptable to my unique configuration needs. Most importantly, their customer service promises are real. Prior to my purchase I spent a good bit of time on the phone with them getting assistance with the design of the system. They were endlessly patient an educated me so that we got it right the first time. The system itself was easy to install and just works. The driveway gate worked so well that I also installed a coop control. It rocks, too. Don’t hesitate to rely on this product. The technical service is the best I have received in a long time...Our control board started acting up, sometimes would not respond to open or close commands, initially I thought it might have been a power problem, bought a couple of new batteries and kept them charged and used to rotate them with the originals (my solar charger also gets some shade from mountain and trees) but even with fully charged batteries the system would falter. After walking me through several troubleshooting steps, they determined that there was some kind of problem with the board, they replaced it at no charge and I received it two days later, replaced it and all is wonderful.I have to say I was very impressed with the professional way everything was handled... Never a ran-around or stalling tactics, just plain great service...

Bought 2 double gate sets 2 years ago with no trouble until hurricane Michael caused multiple power brown outs. Company employees happily checked my actuators and found the control board was defective. They replaced the board without charge or question. It's rare to find such accommodation this day and time. I purchased an opener through my fence contractor/builder with a solar panel. After a couple months the opener would fail to close the gate. The installer did not seem to have a clue, but thought it might be a bad battery. He replaced the battery. About a month later, same issues arose. The installer scratched his head and said call Ghost. I called Ghost and spoke with Mark and Jonathan at tech support. They had me take a few digital pictures and send the pictures to them. Within 24 hours they diagnosed an improper installation, sent me a few parts and everything was resolved. I have used customer service and tech support of various companies over the years but I have never been treated so professionally. Their dedication to providing first rate technical support is an example on how things should be done and sets the bar which other companies should try to attain, but unfortunately few will. Should anyone I know need a fence opener, Ghost Controls will come highly recommend!

I am helping a friend with an install. She got the gate control with the solar panel. She decided to use a transformer instead. I chatted with an agent online, Marlee Dranzik. She was wonderful. I had an old gate transformer from another company. She said, Ghost would rather use their UL tested transformer at no cost to us. Wow! What great service. Thanks again Marlee.

I installed a single gate controller system from Ghost Controls a few months ago. Instructions were sinple and easy to follow. I had my gate opener installed in a couple of hours. Product quality was great. I had two instancesd where lightning damaged the main board, the board in the arm, the antenna amplifier board and the alarm speaker. While I did have to replace the main board, Ghost was nice enough to send me the other parts free of charge. I would definitely recommend Ghost controls for any of your gate needs.

I have waited awhile to write a review due to some complications with our gate opener. Now I can honestly say Ghost Controls has a customer support team that is the BEST, second to none. They stood behind their product 100% and promised that they would figure it out and they did exactly that. Ghost sent me a new circuit board as they thought that was the problem, gate would just open 12" and stop. The problem continued and Jonathan called me and we decided to replace my one battery with 2 new batteries. I can now say after a month the gate opener has been flawless. As I researched for our gate opener I read reviews on Ghost Control and Mighty Mule. The good reviews for Ghost Controls is what influenced my decision to purchase the gate opener. Mighty Mule has a lot to learn from Ghost, so glad we didn't purchase a Mighty Mule because of their lack of customer support and negative reviews. Another added benefit to our purchase has been the how to YouTube videos on the installation, programming the remotes, and general set up for the gate operation. Believe me I have watched those YouTube videos many, many times. I am very comfortable with all the settings with our gate opener and love the party mode. We actually purchased a 3rd remote to leave in our house so we can set the party mode without leaving the house. So now there is no more getting out of the car when it's raining, dark, and when it's 98°. So people don't waste your time with Mighty Mule or any other gate opener. I bought a ghost controller about a month ago! The absolute best gate controller I’ve ever installed. They’re easy to set up and their technical support is off the chain! Unfortunately my controller got hit by lightning after being installed only 3 days and fried every computer in the main box. I called the technical support and although lighting is not usually covered, they sent me all new parts and walked me through the whole process!! This company gets 5 stars from me, and they’re the only company I’ll use for future gate controllers!!

Best customer service I’ve received in a while. I purchased the solar single are heavy duty system. The gate it’s self was nice and easy to install and worked perfectly during the day. I was having an issue where the batteries would not stay charged through the night, so when I left for work in the morning I could not get out of my driveway. I contacted customer service (Marlee) who was very friendly and helpful. Marlee contacted tech support and was able to ship a transformer to me at no cost. Now I can plug in my gate opener and not worry at 530am that my gate won’t open.

Have not installed yet but am thrilled about the customer service from the sales team(Danny). After trying several Tim’s to contact their rival(mightmule) about recurring problem with a control arm for a 4 year old system and on hold nearly an hour on 4 different occasions I decided to give Ghost a call. I had replaced one operator arm two previous times and the other once. Ghost answered my call immediately,answered all my questions and was able to get my new dual system to me in two days. And system is better price than similar system at Mighty Mule.

Excellent support from Ghost! Had an issue with the automatic closer and made a call to the Tallahassee office and got people that genuinely cared about customer service. Actually took pictures of wiring and texted them to Ghost. They responded and even called back to check and make sure it was working. It is an excellent gate opener and much better then Mighty Mule with incredible customer support. It is quieter and smoother then the competition. I will only use Ghost from now on, on all my gates. Thank you again for all your assistance. It reminded me that some companies still really care.

There are other systems but the customer service assisting me was outstanding. Prices are about the same but the ease of installation and their help made it an easy project. I am really glad I found this coop opener. I have an old coop and modified my door to make it fit but it was pretty easy. We were loosing chickens to owls and others on the nights I didn't make it back to shut them in. Since we installed the coop, we have not lost a one and the chickens are great. I have the solar panel and the system has been working great now for a couple of months. It seems really solid, closes at a good speed and is very secure when shut. Now I can take a couple of days and not have to find a friend deal with my flock.

I've had the system for a few months now. I wanted to give it some time to develop issues before I wrote a review. No issues!! It's a great system, easy to install, durable and with great support to back it up. It opens faster than my neighbors gate (which is a competitor to Ghost) so I won the "jone's" competition. The only thing I had to do is add extra solar panels. Thats because east Texas is pine tree country. But to be fair on that note...it seems to pull an extra Amp or so to operate opposed to the competition (whose initials are MM). Hence, the faster opening response I assume. I'll take it! Also, the order I placed arrived with not exactly what was ordered. The advantage was on my side not Ghost. A command decision made over the phone by Ghost support solved the issue in mere minutes. It was nice to have someone on the phone that can pull some strings for the benefit of their company and the customer. So if your looking for a gate opener...stop!! Buy one of these!..or two!

After looking at every opener on the market several times each, we went with Ghost Controls. So glad we did. Simple to install, price is very reasonable, but that was not our driving factor. Installed the system ourselves. Quality product as far as we can see. Well made, strong and swings gate easily. 16 foot gate like it's not even there. Very easy to program open and closed positions with the touch of the control panel buttons. Love the key pad features. the system totally gives us the security and control we were looking for.

This product has state of the art functions. Very easy to assemble, excellent manual to guide you through the who assembly. They have on line videos that are very helpful for you to better understand, if needed. Their techs are very knowledgeable. System is very quite, alarms can be turned on/off. Operating modes are great, party mode, vacation mode, enough storage for 20 different entrance codes, very easy to program and to deactivate. I would purchase another one if I needed it. Great company to work with. Customer service is through the roof! Keith answered all of my questions pre purchase and then helped when I had questions during the installation. You can tell that they are proud of their product.The opener itself was easy to install and is very smooth and quiet. I haven't tested the range to it's fullest yet but it is over 200'. The motor has a soft start and stop so as not to torque the mounting post. I'm very impressed so far and with the warranty/price point they offer it is tough to go wrong.

I found the 8-5pm service to be not very convenient for me, since I have to be in front of the gate to troubleshoot. The troubleshooting procedure was very efficient and friendly. The operator was determined broken and followed by a promise of next day delivery, which they failed, and instead it was ground shipping (a week later). I hope that when I install the new operator everything goes smother thereafter
