GHOST CONTROLS® Limited Warranty

The Limited Warranty obligations of Ghost Controls® products are limited to the terms and conditions set forth below:

PRODUCT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

Product Registration is required for any claim under this Limited Warranty and may be found by visiting Product Registration, clicking on “New Registration,” and completing the required registration information.

Registration of the replacement part must be completed within ninety (90) days of receiving any part.

WHAT IS COVERED

This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in this product.

Proper installation as specified by included installation manual is required.

Single Family Residential Use Only.

HOW LONG DOES THIS COVERAGE LAST?

This Limited Warranty is in effect for the following terms from the date of the original purchase of the product.

WHO IS COVERED?

Only the original purchaser of the product is covered under this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners.

WHAT GHOST CONTROLS® WILL DO

GHOST CONTROLS® will, at its sole discretion, provide a direct replacement part for any defective parts within the defined warranty term, free of any charge for the necessary parts to complete the repair and restore the product to its original operating condition. GHOST CONTROLS® will pay shipping costs (US customers only: equal to United Parcel Service ground rate) for return to owner of item(s) replaced under warranty.

*Customers outside the US will be responsible for paying the cost for duties, freight, and shipping on warranty replacement parts.

HOW TO OBTAIN A REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY

In order to seek any remedy under this Limited Warranty, you must:

  1. Register the product, and
  2. Possess an original dated receipt as proof of purchase from an authorized reseller of GHOST CONTROLS® products.

To obtain a remedy under this Limited Warranty, you must:

  1. Contact GHOST CONTROLS® Product/Technical Support Department at 850-558-5520

Boxes returned without an RMA# will be refused or significant delays can be expected. Product should be properly packed, preferably in the original box, for shipping, along with the RMA# written on the outside of the package.

WARRANTY REQUIREMENT: ON-SITE TROUBLESHOOTING

To ensure proper diagnosis and validate warranty coverage on your gate operator, all troubleshooting must be performed while physically present at the installed gate operator.

This requirement allows accurate assessment of the equipment, verification of installation conditions, and confirmation of any fault codes or mechanical issues.

Remote troubleshooting, off-site photos, or verbal descriptions alone are not sufficient for warranty determination.

If the issue cannot be verified at the gate during the troubleshooting process, warranty approval may be delayed or denied.

Our Product/Technical Support team will gladly guide you through the required steps while you are on-site to resolve the issue as quickly and accurately as possible.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

This Limited Warranty does not cover any damage, deterioration, or malfunction resulting from any alteration, modification, improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, abuse, accident, neglect, fire, lightning, power surges, or other acts of nature.

This Limited Warranty does not cover any damage, deterioration, or malfunction resulting from the installation or removal of any products from any installation, unauthorized tampering, any repair attempted by anyone unauthorized by GHOST CONTROLS® to make such repairs, or any other cause which does not directly relate to a defect in materials and/or workmanship of the product.

This Limited Warranty does not cover the motor and gear assembly when installed on a solid panel gate(s) or any gate that has more than 30% surface coverage.

This Limited Warranty does not cover replacement of operator arms where the original control cable has been spliced.

This Limited Warranty does not cover replacement of AXXV vehicle sensors where the original control cable has been spliced and additional wire has been added. Cutting the wire to make it shorter does not void warranty on the AXXV.

This Limited Warranty does not cover replacement of AXWV Wireless Vehicle Sensors where the original control cable has been cut or spliced.

GHOST CONTROLS® will not be responsible for the cost of removal of any defective product or re-installation of this product during any subsequent installations. Cost of shipping product back to GHOST CONTROLS® under this Limited Warranty is the responsibility of the customer. You remain responsible for any risk of loss or damage during shipment in returning the product to GHOST CONTROLS.

LIMITATION ON LIABILITY

THE MAXIMUM LIABILITY FOR ANY GHOST CONTROLS PRODUCT UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GHOST CONTROLS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM A BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION OR LEGAL CAUSE OF ACTION.

EXCLUSIVE REMEDY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES, AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

OTHER CONDITIONS

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights and remedies, and you may have other rights which vary by country or state.

This Limited Warranty is void if a) the label or packaging bearing the serial number of this product has been removed, modified, or defaced; b) the product is not distributed by GHOST CONTROLS®; or c) this product is not purchased from an authorized GHOST CONTROLS reseller.
